2018 Red Back – 92 Points – Next Release April 2021

Named after the Australian cousin to the Black Widow spider –  Red Back is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot: sourced from the Naramata Bench. Aromas of dried fruits, coffee, chocolate, and toasted oak. Barrel aged 17 months. Pair this full-flavoured dry red with robust dishes.  Further bottle aging is suggested to enable the wine to further soften and for the full development of aromas.  Only 100 case production.

“This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. It announces itself dramatically with aromas of plum, cherry, blackberry, toasted oak and coffee. The aromas are echoed richly on the palate, with a hint of chocolate in the finish. 92.” – John Schreiner
