2022 Phobia – Available April 25th

One of our most popular Spring release wines since inception. This release is a blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Syrah. The Syrah was sourced from our Beau-Vines vineyard, while the Merlot is from our own Estate. Medium to full body; aromatic, with soft tannins and a touch of pepper. Barrel aged 17 months. Plum, cassis and cherry flavours with a long finish. Pair with lamb, barbeque, pizza, pasta or hamburgers.  We recommend further aging to soften tannins and enable the aromas to fully develop.

Review of our 2018 vintage: “This is 50% each of Syrah and Merlot, barrel-aged for 17 months. It begins with aromas of dark cherry and black pepper, leading to flavours of raspberry and black currant with a hint of black pepper. The wine has long ripe tannins. 91.” – John Schreiner
