2022 Vintage One 375ml – Available July 26th

For this vintage we made just 3 barrels of our vintage port style wine from our Estate Merlot.  The brandy used to fortify the wine is custom made for us, and helps create the delicious rich fruit character, dominated by black cherry.  A mildly sweet after dinner wine, this wine will develop rich port-like characteristics with further cellaring. Barrel aged 21 months and unfine. 75 Cases Produced  19.5% Alc.  375ml bottle.

Description

Only produced in certain vintages the last release was 2019. Our 2018 Vintage One was rated 92 Points by John Schreiner. “The wine is dark in colour. The aroma explodes with sweet cherry and black licorice. It delivers delicious flavours of sweet berries mingled with spice and chocolate. It has the appealing freshness of late-bottle vintage port.”
